OnePlus 5T update tracker (Update: OxygenOS 5.0.3 build available online)

Update (02/06/2018): Just a few days ago, OnePlus started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.0.3 OTA update. The company has posted the software build on its website in case you haven’t received it yet and want to manually flash your device. Simply follow the instructions, or contact OnePlus’ customer support if you have any questions.

The 5.0.3 update includes all of the features we’ve come to expect from Oreo, such as Picture-in-Picture mode, notification dots, and much more, as well as a new design for Quick Settings, general bug fixes, and the January Android security patch. It also includes several OxygenOS app updates for the Launcher, Gallery, Weather, and File Manager, most of which are identical to what we saw from the 5.0.2 changelog.

OnePlus 5T Android 8.1 Oreo update

The OnePlus 5T arrived on November 21, 2017, in North America and Europe running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, with a tweaked OxygenOS on top.

OnePlus confirmed at launch that the OnePlus 5T would be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo in the coming months, which eventually came to pass in late January. OnePlus has rolled out a stable Oreo update to the OnePlus 3, 3T, and 5, as well as its most recent flagship.

Shortly after the 5T’s release, OnePlus confirmed that every phone from the OnePlus 3 onwards will support Android 8.1 Oreo, but not Project Treble.
